Introduction

Being transgendered, all too often companies that claim to "cater to our
special needs" do so with something less than honest & fair business
practices in mind. Price gouging, misrepresented products, limited selections
of stereotypically styled fashions, and little if any customer service
are but a few of the most common complaints associated with these businesses.
Yet we believe that these are the exceptions rather than the rule, that
there are good companies out there who want our business and are willing
to treat us courteously & fairly to get it. Thus our business associates
program was conceived for many of the same reasons as our resource
area, with the goal to make information available to those in the transgender
community that need it. Information about support groups, services, and
accepting places to socialize in one's own local community. Other commercial
interests are simply a logical extension of that purpose. After all, those
aren't the only things in life one might need. |

Yet being a not-for-profit, donation funded organization, we might have
chosen to supplement our operating budget by allowing paid advertising
on our site. And although we may yet allow such strictly in our future
online activities area, we did not believe that such would be of
proper service to our member participants in the main areas of our internet
site. Instead, in order to promote the interests of our membership when
dealing with the commercial business community, we decided to adopt a mutual
support policy thru our Business Associates Program. Through mutual support
our goal is to help promote only those businesses that we believe meet
acceptable standards for honesty and fair play in dealing with the transgendered
community. Businesses that will in turn support our organization and it's
purposes. In doing so we believe we have a win-win situation for all concerned. |

disputes that may arise between it's members and associate businesses,
however we do reserve the to right to rescind the associate status of any
participating business that fails to maintain fair business practices as
subject to review by our directorial board. |

Introduction
page is to be limited strictly to a single page, generally not exceeding
2MB in size (negotiable), the purpose of which is to introduce the business
to our site users and provide a link to that business's own site, if any.
As this page will be displayed between our own page header and footer as
a part of our site such page will not contain any material of a obscene
or pornographic nature, nor active content or url forwarding, yet
should include information concerning the agreed upon consideration for
referrals. |
