As a result of @Home's bankruptcy, the Virtual
Places software license was not available to us. But don't panic - we've
been working day and night for the past two months to bring you the vast
majority of the Virtual Places functionality you love, as well as a host
of new features.

Now, in addition to such Virtual Places features
as custom avatars, locate, and mini-profiles, you'll enjoy images, emotions
and full member profiles!

And we're not done yet! Within just the next
few weeks, we'll be adding browser functionality, gestures, and favorite
rooms. So continue to let us know what you think, and we'll continue to
make Excite Chat the best on the Web. You have our commitment.

What
This Means For TGE Chat

TGE Member:

Until
now TGE has always relied on Excite's VP Chat as our chosen chat venue
due to the unique features which it offered that were not available in
other chat programs. However, at the present point in time Excite is no
longer capable of supporting our chat requirements due to the lack of web
browser capability, and the limited number of chat rooms which are available
at any given time in the present form of it's chat software.

Because of these events TGE has suspended
it's alliance with Excite as a peer chat provider. If, and when, Excite
has the capability to serve our needs again we will reinstate them as a
chat partner. We are monitoring this situation closely, as well as searching
for an acceptable alternative chat venue. Until this is resolved, TGE members
are invited to use our own "in house" text chat forum which is available
as part of TGE Online at: http://members.tg2tg.org/
