North Carolina Regional Director

Hi, my name is Joney, and I have the honor of being your North Carolina
Regional Director. I have been a cross dresser for as long as I can remember,
which is since I was about 4 years old, I have also experienced the denial
and shame that came along with it. I joined the military and got married
to prove to myself, and others, I was a man, then after 14 years of service
I was courted martial for being seen in the state of cross dress. I spent
a year in a military prison, because cross dressing in the military is
considered a sexual perversion. This also ended my marriage shortly after
my release. Now my family and friends all know about me, as does my employer.
***
I learned a lot about myself
during that time, I told myself I would no longer be ashamed and deny my
female side. I found Sigma Rho Delta, the Raleigh, NC chapter of Tri-ess.
There I began to accept myself and learn that I was not alone.
***
Since then I have grown a hundred
fold. I now go out as Joney several times a week, have become involved
with the GLBT community and supported TG activism doing what I could to
help other TGs, many like me, as well as their spouses and friends, gain
self-acceptance and come out. My goal is to help others to not have to
go through the suffering I had to go through in order to accept myself
for who I am.
