Hi! My name is Linda Marie Gorham, I am a transsexual woman. I was born
with a male body and female gender identity. I live as a woman full time.
I work for a major airline as a customer service representative. That would
be a ticket agent as most people would see it. I work face to face with
the general public so you might say my transition is a bit on the high
profile side. I have been full time since July 14, 1999. That was my 53rd
birthday and the first day of the rest of my life. My transition has been
very successful to say least.
I live in the San Fernando Valley just North of Los Angeles.
I moved to Southern California in 1984 from the northern suburbs of Chicago.
The winter got too cold back in the mid-west. I am separated from my wife
of 32yrs. I have two daughters, ages 27 and 22. We are all still dealing
with me being a transsexual. There are many issues to resolve and we are
still working much of that out.
My favorite past time is making new friends. I love meeting
new people, as I feel that people are the most interesting thing in this
universe. I live mostly in the mainstream but do go out of my way to do
business with gender friendly establishments. I support the community here
in the Los Angeles area along with supporting the businesses that support
the gender community. I have been to some of the places referred to on
this site and would be more than happy to let anyone know my opinion of
any or any recommendations I might have.
