SOFFA Support
Significant Others, Family, Friends, and Associates (SOFFA's) have always
been welcome in our open chat room although sometimes their needs and problems
become over shadowed by the issues of our transgendered participants themselves.
They are so important in our lives, yet they have their own concerns too,
totally deserving of equal time and consideration.
Because of this. early in the year 2000 TGE added a second
VP chat space to be set aside for SOFFA support chat, "The
Sanctuary", in addition to adding a director position for SOFFA Affairs.
And with input from our SOFFA membership we began searching for content
relevant to their perspective, which is what this space is for, to address
issues of interest to those many important others in the lives of our TG
members. As with all areas of our site it is open to your input, if you
have suggestions about content to add, or personal experiences you would
